The iPad for Christmas

My prediction is that today begins the Christmas season for Apple.

And why is that?

Because today is the first Monday since the release of the iPad, and today you will potentially have hundreds of thousands of people bringing in their iPads to show people.  You will have an exponential number of people getting to finally hold an iPad in their hands and play with it for the first time.  And then begins the best Christmas marketing that Apple could ever hope for.. because in the coming months those people will remember how it felt to use that iPad and they will want it, and they will want to buy it for their families.

I have mine packed and ready to take in to work today.  I was asked last week if I would be bringing it in for show-and-tell, since I was the only one in our small office that had one pre-ordered. So, currently, 1 out of 12 that will see it today.  I bet that number changes by December 26th.
